Get those taste buds ready... Cardiff Street Food Circus is back! This year in a brand new spot - the beautiful Sophia Gardens. A great location for a fun day out - it does feel like a mini festival. From pulled pork to gin, Thai food to BBQ chicken wings, super-salted donuts to blueberry-poppin' Prosecco, there is something for everyone.
On the day we were there, it was clear blue skies and beaming sun all day long. Great, yes, but that meant I had to hide in shade every now and then to stop from burning my head... again.
To be honest I was too busy eating all of the glorious, majestic carbs to take any actual pictures of any food, but I did capture quite a bit of the event itself. Enjoy!
It's literally a few minutes walk from the Millennium... Principality Stadium.
Of course, the first stop was... the premium gin stall. DUH.
You've got to try out the drinks from The Little Tipple Van. What can I only describe as glasses of blueberry-poppin' Prosecco. Weird, but cool.
A disco-ball ready for the late night music. Live bands and no kids after 9pm!
Ooooh.... science!
After a short while, we left to go to the nearest pub, Y Mochyn Du. Made a little friend on the way...
And then we got hungry again so we went back in...
And then the true beauty of the location reveals itself when the sun starts to go down. So dreamy.
Cardiff Street Food Circus is running every Thursday-Sunday until September 25th. Free entry. I highly recommend you check it out before it goes.
