After the disappointment of Portugal beating Wales, we moved on from Lisbon to Albufeira in the Algarve (with NOS Alive festival squeezed in between). On our second day in Albufeira it was the Euro 2016 final: Portugal vs France.

So we went to the main square in the old town to soak up the atmosphere and watch the game. Among the sea of excited Portuguese fans, locals and tourists, there were surprisingly quite a lot of French fans there which made it quite interesting watching the night unfold...
We were running late for kick-off so we followed the locals to find a bar to watch the game...
0-0. The mood was tense.
This is one of the most favourite moments I've ever captured (thank god for the complete silence of the Fuji X100). There was an awesome old Portuguese man watching the game - on his own, drinking red wine, wearing his old captain's arm band... he was so nervous - you could just see much it meant to him.
The moment that Portugal scored the winning goal. The people went MEN-TUL.
There's always a guy trying to get you to buy a hat or glow-in-the-dark glasses. Always.
Some (most) fans were ruined by the end of the night...
